Sun Tzu and Anime: Suppose a Kid from the Last Dungeon Boonies Moved to a Starter Town Character Analysis: Part II
Autumn is here, so let's celebrate with more of Sun Tzu's genius rating anime legends.
As a quick refresher, here's how the rating system works. Sun Tzu cited Five Essential Factors to be Mastered for Victory: Morality, Weather, Terrain, Good Leadership, and Preparation. All under consideration can receive 0-10 points in each category. However, he also cited Five Fatal Failings of Leadership: Recklessness, Cowardice, A Hasty Temper (Anger for simplicity), Delicacy of Honor (DOH), and Caring Too Much About the Troops (Over-caring). All under consideration can lose 0-10 points in each category. At the end, the scores are tallied, and the results reveal how effective a character is in Sun Tzu's eyes, with the best aiming for 40 or better.
This time, we're returning to famed comedy Suppose a Kid from the Last Dungeon Boonies Moved to a Starter Town? for a unique assortment: its first season's primary supporting cast. As always, to keep things fair, we'll analyze them in the order they were formally introduced, plus keep things confined to the first season to prevent spoilers.

Morality
5
She's got a good heart, but is extremely caustic, especially toward Rol, who she once called an "absolute snake of a woman."
Weather
10
Thanks to her training, magic skill, and experience, this isn't an issue.
Terrain
7
She's capable and very observant, particularly when training the cadets, yet got caught off-guard by Lloyd during the initial magic trials, as well as in Kunlun.
Good Leadership
5
She's got good tactical sense, but tends to go rogue around Merthophan; she also isn't always clear, like when she proposed a healing magic boot camp session…then hinted Allen was the target after his classmates surrounded him with a variety of weapons.
Preparation
5
She's well-versed in magic and runes, yet is never ready for Merthophan's odd comments, hence Chrome famously telling her, "You've got to learn to read the room sometime."

Reasoning
Recklessness

Epic red flag. She constantly underestimates others, namely Lloyd and Rol, is extremely careless, and tends to impulsively lash out when she's angry or embarrassed, such as when she kicked Chrome in the groin for teasing her.
Cowardice

She's a tad nervous around Merthophan, freaked out when seeing Lloyd train, and was very unnerved throughout her time in Kunlun, particularly during the dinner at Alka's house.
Anger
-10
Epic red flag. She's got an explosive temper, one that's on a hair trigger, with Merthophan being the most constant victim, although she also sometimes yells at the cadets.
Delicacy of Honor
-8
Serious red flag. She's proud and highly competitive, both of which she made clear in her declaration about winning the sorcery tournament: "We will kick our rivals' butts! That's an order!"
Over-caring

He's pretty indecisive initially, and freaked out when he first went to Kunlun, yet made a nice comeback toward the end, hence the lower rating.

Reviewing the Results
This group was a real mess: impressive combat skills/knowledge, most of which were undermined by anger, recklessness, and egotism. With so many issues, it's no surprise they have so much turmoil…but that all harkens back to what's been said all along: follow Sun Tzu, and you'll win; ignore him, and you'll lose.
