Nagasarete Airanto Character Analysis

Once more, the ancient past meets the contemporary as Sun Tzu's exceptional wisdom comes forth to rate more anime legends.

As a quick refresher, here's how the rating system works. Sun Tzu cited Five Essential Victory Factors: Morality, Weather, Terrain, Good Leadership, and Preparation. Those under consideration can earn 0-10 points each here. However, he also cited Five Fatal Failings of Leadership: Recklessness, Cowardice, A Hasty Temper (Anger, for simplicity), Delicacy of Honor (DOH), and Caring too much about the troops (Over-caring). Those under consideration can lose 0-10 points in each. At the end, the scores are tallied, with each character aiming for 40 or better.

This time, we're analyzing a true gem: the protagonist and his primary love interests from the romantic comedy Nagasarete Airanto. As always, to keep things fair, we'll analyze them in the order they were formally introduced.

Anger	-7	Slight red flag. He's a hothead, and is easily triggered, namely whenever someone mentions his dad's infamous taunt: "Absolutely impossible."
Delicacy of Honor	-7	Slight red flag. He's very cocky initially, and his need to prove himself constantly costs him.
Over-caring	-7	Slight red flag. He comes to love everyone, particularly Suzu, and he also dotes on his sister, Misaki.

Anger	-6	She's got a temper, although it's mostly set off by Ayane's taunts and Shinobu's persistent attempts to challenge Ikuto.

Preparation	5	She can cook and clean fairly well, but always bungles her attempts on Suzu, not to mention nearly froze to death chasing Ikuto up the mountain.

This roster turned out to be quite messy, no doubt a huge part of why they have so many misadventures. Then again, as has been said before: follow Sun Tzu, and you'll win; ignore him, and you'll lose.
